BUSINESS MANAGER / SECRETARY-TREASURER

Born and raised on the North Shore of Oahu, and a painter by trade.  Bully enjoys volunteering at community projects and serves as a mentor to all.  Bully has held positions ranging from Business Agent, Director of Organizing and Assistant BMST. 

  DRYWALL TAPERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE / DIRECTOR OF SERVICING

Initiated into Local 1944 in 1975, John started his career as an apprentice and later was promoted to a foreman and then a supervisor.  He has served in many capacities - Trustee, Vice President, President, Training Coordinator and Instructor.  John currently serves as the DC50 President. 

 PAINTERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Robin is a member of Painters Local 1791.   His expertise in the painting industry has allowed him to  oversee projects that included public, industrial and commercial work.  He is currently the Vice President of the District Council.

 GLAZIERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Dwayne is a second generation glazier and has been a union member for the past 39+  years.  A St. Louis High School graduate, he enjoys mentoring upcoming apprentices and takes pride in sharing the values of being a union member.

 FLOOR LAYERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Doug is a member of Floor Layers Local 1926.  He has worked as a warehouseman, apprentice, journeyman and foreman.  Doug has also served as an Organizer.

 ORGANIZER 

Juan has 17+ years of industry experience  and has been a member of the Tapers Local 1944 since 2007.  He has worked on various projects, ranging from residential subdivision to commercial drywall finishing.  

 DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZING 

Shane is a union painter by trade.  Born and raised on Molokai and currently resides on Maui, he enjoys mentoring up and coming apprentices as he leads the painting program on the valley isle.

  DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS Before arriving at the District Council, Lorna worked at the Hawaii State Capitol and brings a wealth of legislative experience.  Lorna is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is a member of the Painters Local 1791. 

 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER

Vanessa's positive attitude and "can do" spirit is an asset to DC50.   She is willing and able to assist members with any administrative questions.

 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Juan brings 13 years of paralegal experience to DC50.  In his spare time, he volunteers by providing Spanish to English translation for immigration cases.

 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES ASSISTANT

Maileen attended Hawaii Pacific University  and graduated with degrees in Business Economics and Finance.  She has a wealth of expertise in the field of SEO content marketing. DC50’s fortunate to have an amazing professional join our team!
