BUSINESS MANAGER, SECRETARY-TREASURER

Doug has been an IUPAT member for 26 years. He has worked as a warehouseman, apprentice, journeyman and foreman.  Doug has also served 12 years in office as an Organizer, Business Representative, and BMST. He is committed to elevating DC50.

 DIRECTOR OF SERVICING, GLAZIERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Dwayne is a second generation glazier and has been a union member for the past 39+  years.  A St. Louis High School graduate, he enjoys mentoring upcoming apprentices and takes pride in sharing the values of being a union member.

 DIRECTOR OF ORGANIZING  

Shane has been a member of the IUPAT since 1994 and is a graduate of The Kamehameha Schools Kapālama campus. He started with DC50 as an instructor in 2020 and became an Organizer in 2022. He enjoys giving back to the community, mentoring young adults, and spending time with his ʻohana.

 DIRECTOR OF GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS  

Jeff began working with DC50 in 2013 as a lobbyist, consultant and industry liaison. He joined the DC50 staff in January of 2025. Prior to working with DC50, Jeff was a civil litigation attorney in Hawaii.

 PAINTERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Robin is a member of Painters Local 1791.   His expertise in the painting industry has allowed him to  oversee projects that included public, industrial and commercial work.  He is currently the Vice President of the District Council.

  DRYWALL TAPERS BUSINESS REPRESENTATIVE

Mario was inducted into the Tapers union in 1990 and has held many positions on the executive board:  Trustee, Recording Secretary, Financial Secretary, and is currently the President of Tapers Local Union 1944.

Pat is a second generation union Floor Layer and a 27+ year veteran of the trade.  He is the current President of Local Union 1926.

Keaka has been a drywall Finisher with the Tapers Union local 1944 for over 2 decades. His goal is to assist our leaders in building a stronger and more resilient Union through better communication and uplifting our members.

Vanessa Pinho

  ORGANIZER   

Orlando is a longtime member District Council 50, with over 20 years in the union and more than 30 years in the glass industry. He serves as acting Financial Secretary on the Glaziers Executive Board and previously spent 7 years as a Training Coordinator, helping mentor and develop future glaziers.

Vanessa's positive attitude and "can do" spirit is an asset to DC50.   She is willing and able to assist members with any administrative questions.

JUAN ALVARADO

 ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Juan brings 13 years of paralegal experience to DC50.  In his spare time, he volunteers by providing Spanish to English translation for immigration cases.

Gloria brings to the Union her years of experience in administrative support and customer service. She also actively volunteers in several non-profit and community organizations.

 DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

Breanne holds a degree in Economics and brings a diverse professional background that includes experience as a Legal Assistant, Fiscal Associate with the University of Hawai‘i Foundation, and Technical Trainer with Hawaiian Electric. She is committed to developing effective, accessible training pathways that support growth and long‑term success in the trades.

 DRYWALL TAPERS TRAINING COORDINATOR  

Garrett has been a member of the Tapers union for over 20 years, and an instructor in the apprenticeship program for over 10 years. Garrett has completed the Associate Instructor program with the FTI and currently instructs OSHA 10 and 30 among other classes.

 Freddie has been in the Glaziers trade for 13 years and the past three years as an instructor. He aims to improve our apprentice training program, ensuring  the highest standards and  success of every apprentice.

Isaiah has been in the Painters union for over 10 years and a instructor for four. He wants to educate and impact the future of the  trade by educating  the apprentices and also serving each member of district council 50.

Lesley hails from the island of Hawaii and graduated with a Communications degree from Hawaii Pacific University.  Prior to joining DC50, she was the Assistant Manager for Consolidated Theaters.
